FAIL “No bootable device - insert boot disk and press every key” Launch High Sierra, open Winclone. Select tools Tab “Make EFI Bootable”, attempt to launch bootcamp from both Mac Partitions. It was recognized at boot time by the computer and had no problems. I installed Windows 7 on my MacBook Pro (MacOS High Sierra) successfully. Download: macOS Big Sur, macOS Catalina, macOS Mojave or macOS High Sierra These will be downloaded to your Applications folder as an app called Install macOS. Now I get this message on boot to windows: no bootable device – insert boot disk and press any key. Then I used Disk Utility to create some free space on the hard drive shared by MacOS and Windows. I installed Windows 7 on my MacBook Pro (MacOS High Sierra) successfully. After High Sierra was released, the use of a virtual optical drive could be eliminated on certain model Macs.
